Care and Hospice would like to say thank you to the many veterans who have
given of themselves so that we can enjoy the freedoms of this country. Recently we had election day. Because of the sacrifices of many who served this country, we were able to exercise our freedom to vote openly, without fear.
It is an honor to care for our
veteran's healthcare needs, especially those we have the privilege of caring
for at the end of life. Please go here to
see a video about the "We Honor Veterans program." Also, go here to see a previous post of veterans that Access has had the privilege to care for.
A Veteran's Day Tribute
These brave ones raised a hand;
No hesitation held them back;
They were proud to take a stand.
They gave up normal life;
To serve their country and their God,
They plowed into the strife.
On strange and foreign shores;
Some lost new friends; some lost their lives
In long and brutal wars.
To support the ones who fought;
Their country had requirements for
The essential skills they brought.
The noble and the brave,
The ones still with us here today,
And those who rest in a grave.
They’re a cut above the rest;
Let’s give the honor that is due
To our country’s very best.
Thank you to Access patients, Access staff, and to everyone for your military service!

ReplyDeleteThis is a very good article for everyone to read. There is how "to parent" material galore. It is a natural progression in life. This transition into adult child supervising an elderly parent is a new frontier for many of us. We must learn how to help our loved ones. We are their advocates. Take the time to learn what you should know.

Kudos to war veterans! And also to their families who opted to take care of them personally. It's not an easy feat, but it is a worthy achievement.
